Office Info

Since 1963, Little Rock Family Practice Clinic has adhered to the traditions of personalized, warm and compassionate care. LRFPC strives to accommodate new and existing patients with flexible hours for examinations, injections, and lab work at its two locations in West and Central Little Rock.

Simple and innovative methods for making payments, obtaining medication refills, making physician inquiries, and obtaining hospitalist care have been created to optimize your experience. Please read the information below to learn more about these methods, as well as how to create and prepare for an appointment, and what information to bring if this is your first visit to our clinic.

ARRIVING AT THE CLINIC

New Patients

New patients should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. For your convenience, all new patient forms can be downloaded, printed and completed prior to the day of your appointment. Or you may complete the forms once you arrive at the clinic. In either case, please make sure to bring your insurance card with you to the clinic.

Existing Patients

Existing patients should arrive at the clinic 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. If any of your patient information has changed since your last visit, including your insurance, make sure to note that information on our Information Change Form. If your insurance has changed, please bring your new insurance card with you to the clinic.

MEDICATION REFILLS

You can now request refills securely online at My Patient Page, our new computerized communications system. Or you can call 501.664.4810 for the Central clinic, or 501.228.7200 for the West clinic.

Injection Only Visits

Injections are given from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and do not require an appointment.

PAYMENTS AND BILLING

Payments for Services

Payment is requested at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. We will be happy to file insurance claims, but co-pays and deductibles that have not been met are due at time of service. Please be prepared to show your insurance card EACH visit.

Billing

A separate company, Arkansas Physician Management Inc. (APMI) handles billing, insurance and collections for the Little Rock Family Practice Clinic. This company allows you to pay on-line or by other means. If you have any questions about billing and insurance, please call APMI at 501-224-1690 during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

HOSPITALIZATION

Our physicians do not make hospital visits, but work with local, highly qualified hospitalists. A hospitalist is a physician who sees patients in the hospital on behalf of family practice physicians.

If you require hospitalization, your regular physician will contact the hospitalist on call to explain your condition and gain admission. The hospitalist will closely monitor you in the hospital – order tests, medications and necessary treatment – while keeping your physician informed. Once discharged from the hospital, care will be provided by your regular physician.

Flu shots are available!
We strongly encourage our patients, particularly those at risk, to get a flu shot every year. The vaccine this year is the same as the one given in 2010, and includes coverage for H1N1. The shots will be administered 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. They are not available during our Saturday urgent care clinic.
Seasonal Allergies
If you suffer from allergies, we’re here to help. We offer skin and RAST tests to determine almost immediately the sources of your allergies – and various therapies to combat them so that you are more comfortable.
Insurance
Many insurance policies include wellness benefits covering all or a substantial part of an annual physical. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to keep yourself well.
Vacation Plans?
If you are planning travel to a foreign country, you will likely need vaccinations to maintain your health while you are away. Set up an appointment about six weeks before you depart.
