Dr. Roberts was born and raised in Little Rock. After receiving a B.S. degree in Zoology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, he returned to Little Rock to attend the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Upon receiving his M.D. degree in 1989, he completed a Family Medicine Residency in 1992 at UAMS where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He then joined LRFPC in July of 1992.

He is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians, as well as the Pulaski County Medical Society. In 1996, he founded a research company, Arkansas Clinical Research.

Dr. Roberts has been married since 1983 and has three children, two sons and a daughter.

His hobbies include travel, sports, and reading. He also owns and manages an Internet-based e-commerce company.
